Less than 1 mile to Los Angeles Convention Center
Since 1999, STAPLES Center has been the main sporting arena in Southern California. It is next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center, as well as next to the L.A. Live expansion. It is home to the L.A. Lakers and the L.A. Clippers, as well as the L.A. Kings, and the Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association. Additionally, it is the only sports center in the NBA shared by two leagues, and also one of only two professional arenas to host two teams from the same league.
STAPLES Centre also holds more than 250 other events per year. Almost 4 million people visit yearly to experience sporting events, live concerts, family entertainment, boxing and other special events. It maintains its high reputation as host for other high profile telecasts, such as the GRAMMYS, the 2004 & 2011 NBA All-Star Games, the 2002 NHL All-Star Game, the 2000 Democratic Country wide Convention and 2009 Environment Skating Championships.
STAPLES Center is at 1111 S. Figueroa Avenue in the Downtown area of Los Angeles, next to the Convention Center. Transportation to the Center is available by Metro Bus and Rail, DASH, Metrolink and AMTRAK.
